Metin2 Shoulder Sash and Absorption Guide

MobilServerler Team · Updated:

The shoulder sash (called "kuşak" by Turkish players) absorbs part of the bonuses on a weapon or armour and adds them to your character. A high-absorption sash is one of the items that most separates characters in PvP. This guide follows the official Turkish wiki's Omuz Kuşağı page; grade names are given as they appear in the Turkish client.

Sash vs belt

The shoulder sash was added on 10 March 2015 and is a different system from the belt ("Kemer"). It has no level or gender requirement and opens from the costume button in the inventory. The NPC who explains it is Teovahdan.

Grades, absorption and combine costs

GradeAbsorptionCombine cost
Basit1%100,000 Yang
Zarif5%200,000 Yang
Asil10%300,000 Yang
Kişiye Özel11-25% (variable)1,000,000 Yang

Sashes at 19-25% have a glow effect. You combine two sashes of the same stage: on success the first improves, on failure it keeps its stage and rate, and the second sash is lost either way. The wiki does not publish combine success rates, so we do not quote community guesses.

Absorbing bonuses

Absorbing a weapon or armour always succeeds, but the item is destroyed. Each bonus is multiplied by the absorption rate and rounded down (10.8% becomes 10%), except values below 1, which round up to 1. Negative bonuses are not transferred. Example with an 18% sash: 30% average damage gives 5%, +5 STR gives +1. A Dönüş Belgesi removes absorbed bonuses.

Transfers

Bonus transfers only work between sashes with the same absorption rate. A full success moves everything, a partial success costs the target sash 1% absorption, and a failure moves nothing; sashes are never destroyed by transfers.

Choosing what to absorb and budgeting

Because absorption is proportional and rounds down, items with high-value bonuses give far more than small ones, especially at low rates. Negative bonuses are not transferred, so only the positive side counts. As your sash improves, a Dönüş Belgesi lets you clear it and absorb a better item. Combine fees are paid on every attempt, up to 300,000 Yang through Asil and 1,000,000 Yang at Kişiye Özel, and a sash is consumed each time, so save up sashes and Yang before chasing a high rate.

On a phone, double-check the slots before confirming any combine, absorb or transfer, since none can be undone.

Values on private servers may differ: some remove sashes, others change rates and costs. Browse oldschool, guild war and PvP servers.

Frequently Asked Questions

In the official game Basit absorbs 1 percent, Zarif 5 percent and Asil 10 percent. Kişiye Özel sashes vary between 11 and 25 percent.

What happens if a sash combine fails?

The second sash is lost and the first keeps its current stage and absorption rate. Official success rates have not been published.

Is the sash the same as the belt?

No. The shoulder sash absorbs bonuses and is managed from the costume panel, while the belt is a separate equipment system.
